McDowell County hired Post Overdose Response Team Community Paramedic to provide initial
response and follow-up care to patients who have experienced a nonfatal drug overdose in order to
connect them to resources for addiction treatment, recovery support, harm reduction services, primary
healthcare, and other services and support they may need to improve their health or well-being.
